Visit to the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities

Upon the invitation of Dr Salvatore Italia, director of the General direction of archives of the Ministry of cultural heritage and cultural activities of Italy from 23rd to 27th September 2002 Snežana Pejović, the president of "Notara" visited Rome for the purpose of the agreement regarding the realization of the project "School of palaeography, diplomatic and archival science" at Kotor, with the help of the experts-lecturers from the Italian schools. According to the agreement, this expert cooperation would be carried out on the basis of the inter-state agreement between the State archives of Montenegro and the General direction of Italian archives.

NOTAR IN INTERNATIONAL FIDA (Fiume Istria Dalmazia Archivi) AND SIDA PROJECTS (Serenissima Istria Dalmazia Archivi)

„Archival groups from the period of the Venetian Republic in the Museum of the Town of Perasta", is the title of the project which „Notar" applied with for the funds of the Veneto Region in 2008 in the category entitled: Projects for the restoration, preservation, conservation and presentation of cultural heritage of Venetian provenance in Istria and Dalmatia for the year 2009 (Regional Law no. 15, 1994 for the protection and valorization of the cultural herittage of venetian provenance in Istria and Dalmatia).

Hrough this project „Notar" has become part of the international research projects of FIDA and SIDA.

These projects were presented at the international conference held in the State Archives of Trieste on 12th December 2009 on which occasion the web-page was promoted which includes „Notar's" project as well: http://www.fida-sida.it/

NEW TERM FOR THE SUMMER SCHOOL OF PALEOGRAPHY, KOTOR 2000.

THE ELECTRONIC ON-LINE CATALOGUE ABOUT MARITIME AFFAIRS PRESENTED IN KOTOR

CKP_30_04_10_prez_5The public presentation of the first stage of the project "Central Maritime Catalogue of Montenegro (CKPCG)", held on the 30th of April 2010, was attended by over 50 representatives of the archives, libraries and museums from Montenegro, Croatia and Albania, as well as the representatives of the Faculty of Maritime Studies, Maritime High School, different maritime companies, agencies, associations, present and future partners on this project.

THE MANAGERS OF M.I.D.A. INFORMATICA AND HYPERBOREA, AND THE REPRESENTATIVE OF METIS SYSTEMS FROM ITALY, VISITED IMPORTANT PUBLIC AND CHURCH INSTITUTIONS IN KOTOR, PERAST, CETINJE AND PODGORICA

According to the programme of stay in Montenegro, the representatives of the three Italian organizations visited several important public and church institutions which take care of archival, library and museum material. The purpose of these visits was for them to become familiar with the cultural heritage which is in the possession of Montenegro and to perceive the possibilities for the application of their software and highly advanced scanners, specialized for the processing of this kind of ancient archival and library material and museum artistic collections.
