On April 23-25, 2010, the Eighth meeting of the SEE Heritage Network was held in Rijeka. The meeting was organized by the NGO Pro Torpedo - Association for the Promotion and Preservation of Industrial Heritage of Rijeka, which is one of the SEE Heritage Network members. The meeting focused on the theme of industrial heritage of Southeastern Europe.

On behalf of the organization "Notar", the meeting was attended by one of its member, Mr. Joško Katelan.

The meeting was funded by the foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB).

In parallel with this meeting of SEE Heritage Network members, was being held the Fourth Industrial Heritage Conference: "Ships and Shipbuilding Heritage". The SEE Heritage Network presented a series of posters. "Notar's" poster focused on the shipyards that had existed in Kotor and Perast back in 14th century attracted special attention. [Poster]

The hosts took the participating Network members around some very important industrial heritage sites in the territory of Istria.



The main discussion during the Meeting was focused on organizational issues and further plans and directions of the Network. Marijana Ivanova was unanimously elected the Network Permanent Secretary, with the seat in Kotor.

Since one of the key topics was the issue of finances, it was agreed for the activity to be intensified on the attraction of possible donors, where the Secretary is to play a very important role.

A new Network member from Croatia "Genius Loci" also participated the meeting, while the new member from Romania "Transylvanian Trust" could not participate due to their national duties.

All the participants of the meeting confirmed their commitment to the Network objectives, but it was also emphasized that there was a need for the increased public visibility of the Network, through concrete products-projects, both bilateral and multilateral.
